Chopping Board

Our chopping boards will survive even the most enthusiatic of blade wielders.

Finished with a food safe oil and wax conditioner.

Hardwoods such as our Beech butcher block are ideal for kitchen use due to their natural properties, unlike Oak or other unsuitable 'chopping boards' you might find online.

Chopping boards should be protected by food safe oil and wax, creating a barrier. These should be reapplied as required.
Beneath this barrier all woods are not all equal, with some being far more suitable for kitchen use.
Beech is diffuse porous/closed grain, which helps prevent moisture seeping into the grain where bacteria may build up.
Oak is ring porous/open grain which means you will need to be very careful to keep the product oiled and regularly disinfected for it to be food safe.
