Deliveries

This guide has the detail of how our deliveries work and what you might expect in unusual circumstances

Where do you deliver to?

We offer standard delivery to anywhere in the United Kingdom ("Zone 1").

There is a charge for deliveries to Northern Ireland, Scottish Highlands and Islands within the UK. (Sometimes called "Zones 2 and 3"), even where an item is described as having "Free Delivery".

We do not offer international delivery or sales, but please contact us if you have a specific requirement and we will see what is possible.

What do I need to do?

  • Please don't order multiple items with the intention of 'choosing' one and returning the others. We'll happily work through a choice with you to ensure it's the right one for you.
  • Please ensure that someone is present at the delivery address to receive the item - you will be liable for any additional costs generated from not being present to accept delivery.
  • Some couriers may offer a re-delivery or 'leave in a safe place" but this is not guaranteed. Any losses due to delivery to a point other than the delivery address cannot be refunded.
  • Some couriers may require you to travel to 'pick up' an undelivered item, which you must complete at your own expense.
  • Large Item delivery and "2 person" handling cannot complete without the courier being able to set down the items in your property. The cost of the 1st attempt is not refundable and you may be required to pay any additional costs for subsequent attempts.
  • "Set Down" must be at "ground level" or "street level" and further moving of the item within your property and particularly to other floors/via stairs is not provided.
  • Please ensure that the couriers have a 'clean approach' to deliver your item, free of clutter and obstruction. This may need you to move or remove items (other furniture, paintings and other wall hangings etc.) from your property, which you should do in advance. 
  • The courier may offer additional services for an additonal charge, which is an agreement/sale made between you and them - we have no involvement in that process and any damage, problems or losses cannot be remedied by us.
  • When your item is delivered and still in its packaging, please inspect the outer packaging for evidence of damage during transit. If significant evidence is present please refuse the delivery and contact us immediately.
  • Unpack and inspect your items as soon as possible within 48 hours, ensure that no damage or issues have occured during transit. We may not be able to rectify a damage claim if this is not done in a timely manner.
  • Retain all packaging and avoid damage to the packing materials, as we cannot accept re-packaged items as returns as this may cause damage. If the original packaging is damaged beyond use, please contact us. 
  • DO NOT ASSEMBLE OR USE items if you intend to return them.

Your right to cancel before despatch

We will inform you of any additional charges or longer despatch times before despatch and you will retain the right to cancel with all payments refunded.

Once your goods are collected from us by the courier or otherwise despatched then your normal consumer rights apply alongside our 'terms of sale' - please ensure you read these before ordering.

Who delivers?

We use a variety of couriers and delivery methods, so unfortunately we can't offer a choice. If you do have a particular problem or requirement please let us know at the point of ordering and we will do our best to oblige.

Large items and '2 person' handling 

Deliveries of large items that require '2 person' handling may require a special service. If this means any additional delays or costs then we will ensure that you're fully informed beforehand.

'2 person' handling ensures your item arrives safely with much less chance of there being any issues caused during shipping. It also helps to ensure the health and safety of the couriers.

If we indicate that a product required '2 person' handling then we strongly recommend that you also ensure that at least 2 people are involved in moving or assembly for your own safety. 

How Long will it take?

Stocked items will obviously take less time than 'made to order' items, and 'bespoke' items may take a little longer still.

Large items may take a little longer than small, 'parcel' items.

Once your item is ready to ship, it should be with you within 7-10 days except in unusual circumstances.

We will keep you informed of any delays due to circumstances. 

Will I be informed of my delivery date/time?

We cannot guarantee delivery on a particular date but we and the courier will keep you informed as the despatch process progresses.

Couriers use a variety of methods to inform customers, from simple messages to full tracking of the delivery van. We unfortunately can't confirm which will available for your specific delivery.

A specific time may not be available even when your deliver date is confirmed.

Smaller 'parcel' items may only be informed at the point of despatch and may arrive at any time.

Other Manufacturers

Some of our items for sale are supplied from other manufacturers. In some cases this may be shipped directly from them to your delivery address.

If you experience any issues with such items, please contact us as soon as possible to allow us to assist in rectifying the situation, then we'll inform you what to do next.

Recycling and 'old' furniture

Sorry, we do not offer any services to collect or recycle any of your 'old' furniture. 

Once your item is accepted, please recycle the packaging responsibly at your local recycling centre.

Problems

Please contact us as soon as you notice any issues as it may become impossible to rectify after undue delays.

If your delivery has not arrived as expected then we will follow this up for you as far as our agreements with the couriers will allow, please contact us as soon as possible as sometimes it is possible to find remedies while your items are still in transit.
